Excellence Award
DAVID JANZ, born in Barrie, Ontario, and raised in Souris, MB, developed a strong work ethic on his family’s dairy farm. He moved to Winnipeg in 1967 and married Colleen in 1969. After graduating with his RIA diploma in 1977, he pursued a career in accounting, founding his own company, Alpha Management and Accounting, in 1992. David diligently served his clients, treating their businesses as his own. In 2014, he helped Marcos Bordeos establish McCare Global, a successful nursing agency that expanded into the US. David’s faith was central to his life; he actively shared his beliefs and served as treasurer and elder at Bethel Chapel in Selkirk, where he cherished Sunday services.
The David Janz Nursing & Healthcare Aide Excellence Award honors the legacy of David Janz (1946–2024), a dedicated leader whose values of integrity, mentorship, and compassion continue to inspire healthcare professionals.
